"Response biases," also described as "response sets," are "tendencies for subjects to respond to items systematically" when responding to questionnaires (Spector, 1992, p. 12). The "tendency for respondents to agree (or disagree) with items regardless of content" is known as "response acquiescence set" (Spector, 1992, p. 24). Related terms References Coolican, H. (2004).
